Vintage Kantha 203
Traditionally kanthas were made from vintage saris which have been sewn together using a traditional kantha running stitch. Today block printed fabrics are more commonly used but they’re still delightful!
Every kantha is a one-off. Some have fringed edges, some are made from several different fabrics and some are adorned with patches in contrasting fabric - all adding to the charm of each piece.
All kanthas are reversible, usually with a totally different design/fabric on the reverse.
They make great blankets and look wonderful thrown over the end of a bed.
