A Large Samarkand suzani, 1970’s
Suzanis from Uzbekistan are named after the places they were made in, for example - Samarkand, Bukhara, Shakhrisabz, Tashkent, Nurata, Lakai. Each region has its own style in stitching, design and colours.
This would look wonderful over the end of a bed!
